I'm baaaack!

Home from the farm

After a month of animal sitting on the farm I'm finally back to my own house in the city and boy does it feel good to be back in my own bed! I can't say that life has slowed down though. Between working at the bar, finishing final assignments for uni (which i am extremely happy to say I am now finished!!), getting ready for Halloween, catching up with friends I haven't seen in the month I was out of town and working on some other exciting things which I will tell you about in a moment I feel like I need to sleep for at least a solid week to start feeling human again. Now comes the daunting task of finding a new (grown up) job which I am not exactly thrilled about! Anyway enough complaining...

Lights, Camera, Action!

Last weekend a good friend of mine who is an Art Director asked if I wanted to be her assistant on a retro music video they were filming. It was an unpaid job but I decided that the experience would be worth it so at 12pm on a beautiful Saturday we rolled up to a stunning heritage home hidden right off the city center. We spent the next 12 hours organising props, sewing costumes, decorating cakes and admiring the colonial house and gardens. It was a long exhausting day but I'm definitely glad I did it. Hard to imagine that it took 12 hours to shoot a 2 and a half minute music video clip!

  2. Yup it's a NZ singer, she hasn't had anything released yet but the song for this video is a very catchy swing type number!
