I think that Pia may very well be the reason I ever discovered that 'stylists' even existed. Sure I knew there was such a thing as fashion stylist (I may or may not have watched every episode of the Rachel Zoe project!) but it hadn't really occurred to be that there were many other types of stylists too. I think I came across a house tour, or rather boat house tour, about Pia in a magazine and went straight on the internet to investigate who this amazing lady was. I almost jumped off my chair in excitement when I realised what her fabulous job entailed of. I browsed through every interview I could find, took notes on how she got started, what advice she offered budding stylists and how her career evolved. I love her organic style with its crafty, vintage edge. I'm also a big fan of anybody who reuses, recycles and finds beauty in other peoples so called rubbish. Her blog continues to be a source of inspiration to me.
I am just in love with Amy's work. She is actually a florist/ stylist who has this amazing natural style. She clearly takes inspiration from fields of wild flowers, embraces the change in seasons and always seems to have a beautiful story to tell. Best of all I love how down to earth she is, there is nothing snotty and pretentious about this young lady!
I never looked at food the same after discovering the stunning work of Aran. Her French heritage clearly plays a big roll in her approach to food. She takes delicious tarts, delicate salads, exotic cold soups and turns them into this eye popping display of colours and textures. I mean seriously, if I could crawl into these pictures I would! She also happens to be a very multi-talented one woman show doing all her own cooking, styling and photographing. One day I would love to take one of her styling classes that are always held in old farm houses and other beautiful locations.
Obviously there are many more fabulous stylists out there but these are three of my absolute favourites. I don't like fussy, over the top works that scream tacky decadence. I'm far more drawn to these natural, home style, DIY type people who really make you feel drawn into their work. Ahhh I feel giddy just revisiting these websites!
