A Retro Vixen day like this

I had the best day today!  The morning got off to a bit of a hectic start because as per usual I was running late and I was running a one woman show today (usually I rope somebody into helping me at least set up).  Everybody was super friendly and helpful though so I was set up and ready to in the nick of time!  This is the third Retro Vixens that I've been to and it was by far the best.  The turn out was huge despite the rain, the location was at an old petrol station that had been converted into a super cute cafe/ bakery which was the perfect setting for an event like this  and there was just altogether a really great vibe.  As well as this I got to meet some awesome new people, as well as catching up with some old ones that I only ever get to see at these kind of events.  My dresses also made their grand début and I'm happy to say were very well received.  My very first customer of the day was my absolute favourite.

Doesn't she look amazing?!  It's like the dress was made for her! I know it sounds silly but I get really attached to these dresses so it makes me really happy to know that they are going to a new home.
Oh I also had the pleasure of finally meeting Claire from The Vanity Case in person.  She was so lovely and had a stall with so many delicious Besame products that I had to get myself a Cherry Sweetheart lip balm!
Right now Retro Vixens part two is happening (part two being a whole bunch of rockabilly/ psychobilly bands playing at a bar in town) but I must be getting old or something because I'm totally wiped out.  I'm sitting on the couch right now in my dressing gown with a glass of wine wondering whether 10pm is too early for bed!
Anyway now I am really looking forward to doing it all over again next weekend at the Atomic Market in Hamilton.

  1. Congratulations on a super-dooper market day and yes, your first customer was an absolute cutie! Your stock looks amazing and I wish I could be there to have a jolly good pore through the goodies! xo

P.s. It's never too early for bedtime when you're exhausted!
