Two weeks ago I was sitting alone at my mums house one evening crying into my whiskey because I was so miserable and fed up with the dead end path my life seemed to be stuck on. Like I mentioned in an earlier
post I had so many dreams and ideas but was too afraid and/ or lazy to ever pursue them. I became more and more disappointed in myself. Well after that night I decided enough is enough! And let me tell you, life has been full speed ahead ever since. Every morning I write myself a list of things I need to achieve for the day and I power through them. I am well on my way to opening my dream shop (more details on that in a later post), I finally put my university degree into use and received word today that I am an official translator now (complete with a very fancy official stamp), I have even made a couple of new friends... and the very best thing is that I am happier than I have ever been! Anyway enough of the deep and meaningful talk. I have been doing huge amounts of research for the shop. This includes writing a business plan, getting advice from other business owners and of course collecting new stock!
In between that I am also upping my weekly markets in order to save some pennies (there are some great ones coming up which I will let you know about soon), as well as being on a wild hunt for the perfect location for my little shop. Ideally I would like to be open before Christmas but oh my goodness I have a lot of work ahead of me! Have any of you ever pursued anything like this? I am so eager to talk to other small business owners at the moment and find out their experiences.
All the while I have had these two mischief makers keeping me company. Meet Pearl and Bisley!
We are looking after them for about 6 months while their human is getting settled in America. They are Devon Rex's which means they look like strange cats but behave more like dogs! Super curious about everything!

Well, I reckon you've jumped the first hurdle-you've begun to believe in yourself!!! Lovely to hear that you are alive with plans and ideas and burning to make them happen! YAY! I so wish you could do a market down here, we need some thrills!
