These past few months

Wow, where to even begin. Well in case you hadn't picked it up from the previous post we are in fact multiplying!  Yup, sometime in February (smack, bang in the middle of summer over here) we're expecting a new edition to our tiny family of two.  At nearly 14 weeks I am just coming to the end of the first trimester, and let me tell you... I am very glad of that!  Looking back now it doesn't all seem that bad (I mean I didn't even particularly have morning sickness) but whilst in the thick of it I was less than impressed.  So I basically became a hermit for three months and hid away on the farm.  The only thing I seemed to have energy for was sleeping!  I barely blogged, dodged invites from friends and took on the most minimal amount of new work that I could.  But in recent weeks everything is changing very quickly.  I can get through a whole day without the need for an afternoon sleep, we fixed my magnesium deficiency which were causing all sorts of uncomfortable aches and cramps, and those delicious pregnancy drugs are starting to kick in so I am feeling so happy and excited at the moment that I could burst!  Best of all we can actually start telling people.  I am also starting to develop a little bump which is pretty damn cute if I may say so.  To the unknowing eye though I look more like I've been eating too many pies!

So basically we're super excited and can't wait to meet this little person.  We definitely want to record this process a little bit, so aside from my weekly personally diary entries (which are for my eyes only) we are going to attempt to photograph everything regularly and share it with you.  I don't want for this to become a 'baby blog' but I have found it immensely helpful to be able to read about other bloggers pregnancy experiences and would like to return that favour to others.  I would say that the cat is now very much out of the bag!
xx
P.S How cute are those little shoes.  I found them in a second hand shop years ago and some how held onto them all this time.  They're so tiny!

  2. Oohhh... I'm super-excited we get to share your journey with you. I do the exact same thing when I see a delicious baby item in a thrift store. One day...

  3. Rosina - Oh cute! You must be almost exactly a month ahead of me right? So exciting. I feel like one day my belly was flat (except after eating!) and the next day I had an obvious (to me) pot belly!

Miss Tullulah - Ha ha oh I know! I seriously have almost a whole box full of little vintage dresses that I have collected over the years (even before I was sure I actually wanted children!). They are just so adorable. Lets hope this little person is a girl!

  7. My second babies were born in Feb, and it can get pretty dam hot when you're heavily pregnant in the height of summer. But I was carrying twins, so was pretty huge by then :) The middle trimester is so lovely, just enjoy it. It's a bit of a cliche, but it really is your time to 'glow'. x
